Winners of the nationally recognized Dakota MasterWorks Art Show will have their artwork on display Tuesday (Jan. 27, 2026) from 5-7pm in Gallery D at the Ramkota Hotel in Pierre. The Dakota MasterWorks Art Show was created to celebrate the artistic talents and creativity of South Dakotans ranging i n age from 60 to 98. From memories of farm homesteads and beloved family pets to fresh flowers or scenes from the Old West, this exhibit of more than 40 winning entries offers a nostalgic journey through time. Entries will be showcased in the following categories: Oil, Watercolor and Acrylic Painting, Drawing/Pastels/Scratchboard, Photography, Wood Carving and Mixed Media. The categories were divided into two age groups: Experienced = age 60-79; Masters = age 80+.
