Middle school student accused of trying to rob 12yearold at knifepoint

A middle school student was arrested after allegedly approaching a 12-year-old in the bathroom with a knife and trying to steal from him, according to the Delaware State Police.

ed police of the attempted robbery that happened on Jan. 12, police explained.
Allegedly a 12-year-old student pushed another 12-year-old against the wall of the school’s bathroom while holding a knife and demanding the victim hand over his personal items, police said.
The victim refused and was able to escape without getting hurt, according to officials.
The next day, a witness told school leaders who said they then found a knife in the suspect’s bookbag and called police, officials said.
Then, on Jan. 23, the 12-year-old suspect turned himself into police and was charged with attempting to commit robbery, possession of a weapon in a safe recreation zone and other related offences.
The child was released on a $4,000 secured bond.
