On Monday at 2:01 a.m. the National Weather Service issued a special weather statement until 10 a.m. for Northern Westchester, Southern Westchester, Richmond (Staten Is.), Kings (Brooklyn), Northwest Suffolk, Northeast Suffolk, Southwest Suffolk, Southeast Suffolk, Northern Queens, Northern Nassau, Southern Queens and Southern Nassau as well as Orange, Putnam, Rockland, New York (Manhattan) and Bronx counties.“Although the accumulating snow has ended, roadways and walkways will remain icy and slippery with some occasional light snow and flurries through this morning. Some locations have received spotty light freezing drizzle as well.
