Snow is likely in the city between noon and 2 p.m., according to weather service forecasters, and the AFC championship game kick-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. Chances of snow will continue in Denver through 10 p.m. Sunday. A trace to 2 inches of snow is expected to accumulate Sunday in the Denver area, according to the weather service. The blast of arctic air freezing Colorado will persist through Monday, with overnight temperatures in Denver expected to drop below zero and windchills as low as 15 degrees below zero possible, forecasters said. Double-digit windchills are also forecast for the Eastern Plains from Sunday night into Monday morning, forecasters said. A cold weather advisory will remain in effect for the plains -- including parts of Weld, Morgan, Adams, Arapahoe, Elbert, Lincoln, Logan, Washington, Sedgwick and Phillips counties -- until 9 a.m. Monday. "The dangerously cold windchills as low as 23 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes," forecasters wrote in the advisory.
