Editor’s note: This story will be updated throughout the day. The predicted snowstorm finally moved into the southeastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey region overnight. Sunday morning, the Philadelphia/Mount Holly, New Jersey, office of the National Weather Service, which covers the region, said sn ow and sleet totals should range in the 4- to 8-inch range in southern parts of the region and 12-16 inches in the northern part of the region. The winter storm warning issued several days ago remains in effect until 1 p.m. Monday. Snowfall rates of 1-2 inches per hour are to be expected throughout the day. The NWS forecast also calls for a changeover to a wintry mix including sleet or freezing rain expected to move in this afternoon along the Interstate 78 corridor. A glazing of ice is possible. Areas receiving the wintry mix for the longest will receive the smallest snow accumulation.
