Air Force women without two key players, drop fourth in a row in conference play
Jan 24, 2026
Add missing personnel to the mounting issues for the Air Force women as they reach the midpoint in the Mountain West season.
The Falcons fell 74-57 to New Mexico at Clune Arena on Saturday. It was the fourth loss in a row and seventh in the past eight games.
The Falcons played without leading
scorer Milahnie Perry (team disciplinary action) and point guard Jordyn Devaughn (personal reasons). No further details were provided for the absences or a timeline for a return, though coach Stacy McIntyre noted during her postgame press conference that the team will “get some kids back in the rotation” during the upcoming week off.
Playing at home for the first time with fans since Jan. 7 (the Jan. 14 game vs. Colorado State was played without spectators because of a water main issue) and against a Lobos team that had lost three in a row, it seemed this might be a chance to correct course. And it looked like that might be the case even shorthanded as the Falcons trailed by just one point at halftime. But New Mexico hit two early 3s out of the break and outscored Air Force 23-14 in the third quarter.
“Teams are going to go in and make adjustments,” McIntyre said. “We have to make them.”

Air Force has been outscored in the third quarter in all four games during the current losing streak.
Perry and Devaughn have handled the point guard position all season. Without them, the Falcons (8-12, 2-8 Mountain West) trailed 24-11 in turnovers.
“It shows,” McIntyre said. “You miss out on 24 opportunities.”
If there was a positive for the Falcons, who will be without the senior Perry next year, it was the balanced scoring.
All eight players who saw action scored, including the first collegiate basket – a 3-pointer – for freshman A.J. Mannering of nearby Peyton. Mannering’s 3 late in the second elicited a loud cheer from her Falcons teammates.
“Everyone was ready to come in and score,” said junior Keelie O’Hollaren, who led Air Force with 14 points.
Senior Emily Adams scored 13, reaching double figures for the third consecutive game.
New Mexico (13-7, 5-4) was paced by 29 points from Joana Magalhaes, a Portugal native who had averaged 5.4 points over her past five games.
