Ongoing snow and “dangerously cold” wind chills stay on the forecast for southern Colorado, with reports from the National Weather Service recording 1-2 inches of snow for cities in the region. According to the Weather Service’s office in Pueblo, arctic air for the plains will last through the weekend. The coldest temperatures start Saturday and will continue into Sunday night before rebounding by Monday afternoon. The chance for snow on Saturday in Colorado Springs is 70%, the Weather Service reports. Another round of 1-2 inches is possible throughout the day. In Colorado Springs, snowfall reports from the Weather Service show the highest total of 2 inches from Friday night were recorded on the city’s southwest side, with Manitou Spring seeing 1.9. The rest of the city saw totals closer to an inch. Pueblo recorded around an inch. The arctic blast is hitting more than half of the U.S. At least 182 million people were under watches or warnings for ice and snow and more than 210 million were under cold weather advisories or warnings, The Associated Press reported Friday.
