Hanover College launches $110 million bicentennial campaign
HANOVER, Ind. (WISH) — A southern Indiana college that sits along the Ohio River entered the public phase of a $110 million fundraising effort over Wednesday as part of its upcoming bicentennial.

ready secured over $99 million and will conclude on June 30, 2027.
The goal is to ensure Hanover College can continue fulfilling its educational mission and enhance students’ academic and community experiences. Indiana’s oldest private four-year college, Hanover College has 1,050 undergraduate students and more than 200 students in two doctoral programs in physical and occupational therapy. The college was founded Jan. 1, 1827.
The college said in a news release issued Wednesday that the funds will be used to attract and retain top students and faculty, and improve facilities and programs. A key project in the campaign is the construction of a theater and community arts center on the campus to enhance the Parker Auditorium building.
The college is about an hour’s drive northeast of downtown Louisville, Kentucky.
