WilloughbyEastlake Schools’ Experience Nights planned
Jan 21, 2026
Incoming Willoughby-Eastlake School District students and families are being invited to see what their high school future looks like through the district’s Experience Nights.
Eastlake North High School’s Experience Night event will take place on Jan. 22 from 6 to 9 p.m. at 34041 Stevens Blvd.; W
illoughby South High’s will take place on Jan. 29 from 6 to 9 p.m. at 4900 Shankland Road.
During the event, incoming students and families will be able to learn about academic programs, clubs and activities, athletics, hands-on career programming, meet teachers and ask questions about courses, as well as learn how schedules are built to match interests and goals they have.
According to Superintendent Patrick Ward, the district started showcasing Experience Nights two years ago.
“In an environment of choice, we were not going to sit around and just rest on our laurels,” he said. “We want to ensure that our community knows the choice they’re making and that we attract other families who may be considering Willoughby-Eastlake Schools.”
Both North and South high schools will showcase the advanced options the district offers in college credit, advanced options offered in career technical education and advanced options offered in AP (advanced placement) courses, Ward said.
“The advanced offerings we offer across the entire curriculum, as well as how we take freshmen from the middle level and bring them into high school thoughtfully so that no student gets lost during that transition — that’s coming up soon,” he said.
All of the district’s middle schools will also soon begin the process of bringing fifth graders to the sixth grade, welcoming families in over the next three months, Ward said.
