San Francisco 49ers fans disappointed but hopeful after loss against Seahawks

It was a disappointing end to the night and an end to the season for the San Francisco 49ers.
The Seahawks pummeled the Niners in Seattle 41-6 dashing the faithful’s hopes their team would make it home for the Super Bowl.
In San Francisco, the night started with bars so full they had to turn
people away. There was a lot of chanting and optimism.
But as the 49ers fell further behind the Seahawks, that started to fizzle.
After halftime, the crowd thinned at Kezar Pub, and a few faithful people stuck it out to watch the painful loss and an end to the Niners season.
“It sucked, and you’re right, we did stay until the end, and it’s terrible, it sucks,” said John McCormick of San Francisco.
“I’m like heart broken, devastated,” added Daisy Agers of San Francisco.
Many niners fans say they’re still impressed with how far their team made it this season and they’re already looking ahead to next year.
“The fact that we even made it this far with the injuries we had, with the I don’t know, its honestly awesome that we did make it this far,” Agers said.
For the pub just outside the Niners original home venue at Kezar Stadium, the team’s playoff streak was good for business – with demand not just at the bar, but also from fans ordering wings delivered to at-home watch parties.
“The 49ers really bring the fans out, you know? Especially when its playoff time,” said Cyril Hackett, owner of Kezar Pub.
Even though this playoff run is over, the faithful say the dream the Niners back in the Super Bowl someday stays alive.
“We come back healthy next year, we’ll take the whole thing,” McCormick said.
