Three people robbed a Manhattan Pokémon store Wednesday, pointing a pistol in the faces of customers and using a hammer to break display cases, according to New York City police and security video of the incident. No one was hurt in the robbery at Poké Court on 13th Street around 6:48 p.m., the NYPD said. Security video shows the robbers wearing all black, and one using a hammer to smash open a display case the as customers and employees were in the store. One of the robbers points a handgun at the faces of customers, some of whom put their hands up, the video shows. In its statement, the NYPD did not say how much was taken in the robbery, but store owner Courtney Chin told NBC New York that around $100,000 in merchandise was stolen. Employees told police that three people entered the store and displayed firearms, and they stole merchandise and money, as well as the cellphone of a woman who was working there, the NYPD said. No arrests have been made, police said. In California, robbers have recently ransacked card stores and stolen items that included Pokémon cards, police there said.
