Celina ISD released a redacted report of a third-party investigation into former Moore Middle School football coach Caleb Elliott on Friday night. In a letter to the community, the Celina ISD Board of Trustees released an 85-page redacted report detailing Elliot’s tenure at Celina ISD. The report details Elliot’s hiring, his interactions with students, Moore Middle School’s principal and his father — the head football coach at Celina High School. The report finds Bill Elliot exerted his influence during his son’s hiring process in 2023. In the report, witnesses described behavior that could be considered grooming, including Elliot giving a child access ot an Apple Watch. While dozens of witnesses were interviewed and text messages and emails were included, much of the report is redacted to protect the children involved. The release of the report comes after Monday’s meeting, where parents pressed the district for answers about the employment of his father, head football coach and athletic director Bill Elliott. Elliott was previously arrested and charged with secretly recording boys in the locker room. Back in November, Celina Police concluded a criminal investigation of state and federal charges against Elliot for invasive visual recording, possession and promotion of child pornography, and sexual performance of a child.  ...read more read less
