(KRON) — The California Highway Patrol has released video of officers using spike strips to successfully end a chase with a Tesla Cybertruck on Interstate 80 in Emeryville on Jan. 8. Officers chased the truck from Marin County to the East Bay, where officers ultimately stopped and arrested the su spects near Powell Street exit at 1:12 a.m. Video of the arrest shows smoke billowing from the truck’s wheel well after the spike strips were deployed. ‘Claude the Alligator Way’: City renaming Golden Gate Park road to honor late reptile “Safety Reminder: Vehicle pursuits are extremely dangerous, not only for those fleeing, but for innocent drivers, passengers, pedestrians, and officers,” Oakland CHP wrote on social media. “Choosing to flee puts lives at risk.
