Per a Spurs press release: The San Antonio Spurs and Sprite announced the launch of a new cobranded can, which celebrates the culture of San Antonio and Spurs basketball. The cans are now available for purchase at select retailers across the Spurs market including San Antonio, Austin, Cor pus Christi, McAllen, and Laredo and the launch will be celebrated with the special Sprite x Spurs game day tour, popping up at select upcoming home games. Said Terika Fasakin, Senior Brand Director for Sprite at The Coca-Cola Company, “We’re proud to continue building basketball culture and fandom with the San Antonio Spurs through this collaboration. Basketball has always been part of Sprite’s DNA, and this limited-edition can allows us to celebrate the Spurs, the city of San Antonio, and the fans who bring the energy and excitement on and off the court.” SPECIAL FAN EXPERIENCES Frost Bank Center will serve as host to the Sprite x Spurs game day tour experience. During various Spurs home games, an immersive experience will be available in a cobranded airstream trailer. The experience includes poster giveaways, photo opportunities, and product sampling. You can enter the “Sprite Squad Basketball Sweepstakes” by texting THIRST to 2653. Prizes include Spurs game tickets or autographed team basketballs and jerseys. Frank Miceli, Chief Commercial Officer at Spurs Sports Entertainment stated, “Sprite is dedicated to celebrating the game in unique ways, through their continued engagement with our fans in-game, in stores and on digital platforms.
