It may have been “raining,” but what a glorious feeling it was performing on stage at the Fox theater. High school honors students got to perform the classic musical “Singin’ in the Rain” — complete with “rain,” umbrellas and smooth dance steps. It was the Riverside Unified School Di strict’s annual honors musical. Students were set to perform three shows ending Thursday, Jan. 15, for fellow students. Before the performances, students received hands-on lighting and sound training through internships with industry professionals from Live Nation at the Fox, a district news release states. At the Fox, students get “world-class mentorship, professional training and job-shadowing opportunities” that  prepare them for potential careers acting, dancing, singing, playing music or in theater technology, according to the release.
