A winter storm warning was released by the National Weather Service on Wednesday at 12:49 p.m. in effect until Friday at 1 p.m. for Oswego County.The weather service says to expect, “Total snow accumulations 6 to 12 inches. Snow will begin on the Tug Hill Plateau this evening, while lower elevatio ns will be rain. Snow will become widespread across the region tonight, then transition to localized lake effect snow Thursday through Friday morning. The greatest accumulations will be on the Tug Hill Plateau and the western half of the county. Wind chills below zero are expected Thursday through Friday morning.” ...read more read less
