Back from the break | D38 Leadership Update
Jan 14, 2026
Students and staff are back in classrooms learning after winter break. I’m excited to see what we accomplish this semester!
Lewis-Palmer School District 38 is a wonderful place to learn, and this time of year provides a great opportunity to spotlight what our district has to offer. Each January
and February, we enter the choice enrollment period, which gives families that live within our boundaries the opportunity to learn about our schools and to select the best fit for their students. Families that live outside our boundaries are also invited to learn more about our schools and to consider choosing D38 for the upcoming school year.
If you have children or grandchildren enrolled in Lewis-Palmer School District 38, we thank you for trusting us with their education. If not, I invite you to check out D38. Several choice enrollment events are planned for the coming weeks, and you can find details at lewispalmer.org. In addition to these events, know that our schools will always welcome the opportunity to provide a tour to any prospective family.
We will soon mail our 2026 Report to Our Community to households across the district. Inside, you’ll see excellent examples of why families choose D38. Throughout 2025, our students and staff earned many state and national awards in academics, athletics, and the arts. Our students are among the brightest in the state as reflected by the number of students who successfully complete Advanced Placement courses and the number of graduates who enroll in college immediately after high school. We offer a wide variety of educational offerings, including our Career Innovation Center where students can learn skills that directly connect to some of today’s most in-demand careers.
D38 truly is a small community with big opportunities. We are lucky to have a community that values education and families that are involved in our schools. There are an impressive 450 registered parent and community volunteers in our district, which speaks volumes about our community’s interest in D38. Together, we can spread the good news about “The D38 Difference.”
