An 85-year-old woman was stabbed to death in her Brooklyn apartment and a relative is in police custody, officials said Wednesday. Julia Boomer was stabbed multiple times in her head, neck and upper body inside her home on Throop Ave. near Decatur St. in Bedford-Stuyvesant about 9:55 p.m. Tuesday, c ops said. Her daughter witnessed the stabbing, police sources said. Medics rushed Boomer to Kings County Hospital, where she later died. Shocked neighbors told ABC 7 New York the victim was a regular church goer who had lived in the neighborhood her entire life. A 22-year-old relative of the victim was taken into custody but has not yet been charged, police sources said. That relative fled the scene but later returned, the sources.
