AURORA, Colo.  The Aurora Police Department is searching for the truck driver who is accused of getting involved in a crash with an RTD A Line train on Tuesday and then leaving the scene, according to APD public information off icer Gabby Easterwood.Police were notified of the crash shortly after it happened. Upon arriving at the scene, officers found the truck driver had already left.The preliminary investigation indicates that, before the crash, the truck driver allegedly drove over the tracks on the wrong side of the road while the crossing arms were down, leading to the train hitting the truck.At the time of the crash, there were 50 people on board the train. One passenger was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, according to Aurora police.Following the crash, shuttle buses replaced the A Line commuter rail service at three stops.The affected stops are Central Park, Peoria, and the 40th / Airport - Gateway Park Stations.RTD doesn't yet know the extent of damage to the train crossing. ...read more read less
