All clear issued for lockdown in Oakley after man shoots at deputy

(KRON) -- An all clear has been issued for residents in a portion of Oakley who were asked to stay indoors as the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office searched for a man who shot at a deputy, authorities said at 11:26 a.m. Monday.
As of 4:20 p.m., the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office said the
scene was clear.
"Please feel free to resume normal activities," said the sheriff's office in a notification.
The armed suspect had been described by the Oakley Police Department as a man in his mid 40s who is wearing a hat and a gray hooded sweatshirt.

The public had earlier been advised to avoid the areas of Gold Run Drive, Lariat Lane, Placer Drive, Prospect Court, Sutter Street, El Dorado Street, Sonora Court and Silverado Drive, according to police.

"Go inside, close and lock all windows and doors," a message from the sheriff's office said. "Stay off the phone and do not call 911 unless you need to report a life-threatening emergency."
The sheriff's office reported that the suspect shot at the deputy near the 4300 block of Gold Run Drive. No further information about the incident was immediately available.
