SOMERSET, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Firefighters in Somerset responded to a structure fire on Franklin Court, where crews encountered flames and heavy smoke coming from the rear of a home. According to the Somerset Fire Department, everyone inside the residence was able to escape safely before fi refighters arrived. Officials say crews launched an offensive interior attack through the front door while also working to knock down the fire from a rear window. The fire was quickly extinguished. Firefighters then performed salvage and overhaul operations to ensure any remaining hot spots were fully put out. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire has not been released.
