Authorities arrested a man from the Chicago area in Rockford Saturday in connection to the murder of his ex-wife and her husband in Ohio.Michael David McKee, 39, faces two counts of murder and was arrested by the Winnebago County sheriff’s office, records show.Monique Tepe, 39, and Spencer Tepe, 3 7, were fatally shot in their Columbus, Ohio, home on Dec. 30, according to a Columbus Police Department press release. Their two young children were found physically unharmed inside the home, according to the release.McKee was charged with murder in connection with their deaths, according to the Columbus Dispatch. McKee is Monique Tepe’s ex-husband. Columbus police have not publicly shared a motive in the couple's deaths.A warrant was issued in Ohio on Saturday for McKee's arrest, according to Franklin County (Ohio) Municipal Court documents. Winnebago County sheriff's office records show he was booked into jail for an out-of-state hold shortly before noon Saturday.McKee is scheduled for a hearing in Winnebago County on Monday, which will likely be an extradition hearing to begin the process of prosecuting him to Ohio. A spokesperson for OSF Healthcare said the hospital is cooperating with authorities and did not have any comment.He graduated from the Ohio State University College of Medicine in 2014, records show.McKee and Monique Tepe were married in 2015 and divorced in 2017 in Columbus, Ohio court records show. The records list a Virginia address for McKee at the time of their divorce.Columbus homicide detectives identified McKee and his car through neighborhood video surveillance, according to the Columbus Dispatch.
