Police release photos of suspects in connection with stabbing of teen in Queens

The New York Police Department has released images of two unnamed suspects wanted in connection with the deadly stabbing of a 17-year-old in Woodhaven, Queens Friday.

The victim, Josue Arturo was just steps from his home when he was killed. Neighbors say terrifying screams alerted them something was wrong.
Surveillance video shows the moments before the boy was attacked in the area of of 76 Street and 86 Avenue in Woodhaven, Queens around 3:30PM.
“I heard somebody scream and I came outside looked down the street,” a neighbor told NBC New York. “People scream, they joke. No, this was different.”
Video shows the attacker in all black, with his face covered. He is seen chasing Arturo before appearing to hit him with headphones. It’s later, off camera, when it appears Arturo was stabbed to death.
“I saw a young man — he was on the ground, he wasn’t moving. He had a stab wound to his neck, a pretty bad one.”
“I just saw two individuals. I didn’t see the motion of the incident. They were fighting, they separated at some point in the video,” another neighbor explained. “The victim just walked away, and he sat down across from neighbors’ house,” the man said. “Next thing you know, they showed him slumped over.”
Neighbors also say Arturo, who was seen in the video wearing a backpack, could have been walking home from a nearby school.”
“It was heart wrenching, it was sad,” said the neighbor. “I wanted to help.”

Witnesses did try to help by attempting to offer life-saving aid to the boy left bleeding on the sidewalk.
Those neighbors are now sad and frustrated by the tragedy that played out on their street.
“It brought tears to my eyes. I felt bad,” said the first man. “Who’s telling a young kid to stab another kid with a knife in the middle of the day?”
