Winter weather advisory for New York from Sunday to Tuesday — gusts could peak at 35 mph

The National Weather Service released a winter weather advisory at 1:11 p.m. on Saturday valid from Sunday 1 p.m. until Tuesday 7 a.m. for Oswego, Jefferson and Lewis counties.The weather service says to be ready for, “Total snow accumulations 7 to 14 inches in the most persistent lake snows. This
will be a long-duration event with two main rounds of snow. First round will be Sunday afternoon through late Sunday evening. The expect a break in the heavier snows Sunday night into the start of Monday morning before redeveloping by midday Monday and persisting into Monday night.
