CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Three people are without a home after a fire started in their Chesterfield County kitchen Friday afternoon.

When firefighters arrived, they found smoke pouring out of a single-story home.

The fire, which is believed to have started in the kitchen during cooking, was put out within 15 minutes.

While no one was hurt, the fire's damage displaced three residents. Officials said they are being assisted by the Red Cross.
