Patrick Henry Poole, 79, was a lifelong resident of New Haven, Connecticut. He was born to the union of Augustus Poole, Sr. and Lucille Blanchard Poole Washington on November 7, 1946. He attended the New Haven Public School System, earning his high school diploma. Upon graduation, he served p roudly in the U.S. Army. He spent many tours of duty in the Far East.  He was predeceased by his parents; and three brothers, Augustus (Al), William, and David. He is survived by his four sons,Patrick Poole, Jr., Lloyd Henry Poole, Marvin Edward Poole, and William Markeefe Poole; grandchildren, Serenity Poole, Sincere Poole, Elijah Parizo, Camille Poole, and Malaya Poole;three sisters, Thersa Evan, Shirley Robinson, and Janet Poole Carolina, all of New Haven; ex-wives, Jacquelyn B. Hayter and Yvonne Michelle Keen- Poole; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Patrick was an avid sports fan, loving to play football and basketball. Aside from sport, his favorite hobbies included collecting old coins and putting together jigsaw puzzles. He also loved to cook.  Patrick gave his life to his lord, Jesus Christ in the year 1987. He was ordained a Deacon in 1990, spending most of his time counseling young people about the dangers they would have to face in this life, but they can always count on Jesus to see them through.  A celebration of Patrick’s life will take place Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Agape Christian Center, 90 Goffe St, New Haven, CT 06511.  Friends may greet the family Tuesday at the church from 10:00 – 11:00 AM.  Services by Howard K.
