Summit County is seeking public feedback on renaming the recently acquired Skullcandy building as part of its preparation to open the facility for public services in 2026. Residents can vote for a name via a Google form available on the county’s website. The options are “The Hub — Junction Services Hub,” “CIRC — County Information Resource Center” and “PEAK (Public Engagement at Kimball) Center.” The county said it hopes to transform the structure into a state-of-the-art facility by May. It purchased the building earlier this year for $17.5 million from audio-tech company Skullcandy, which downsized and moved across the street to the Redstone Shopping Center. The Summit County Council, during its last meeting of 2025, approved a plan to spend $4.2 million renovating the building’s bottom floor.
