Detectives are investigating the slaying of a 38-year-old man Thursday morning on the West Side. The unidentified victim, 38, was found in the street about 8:15 a.m. in the 300 block of South Springfield Avenue, unresponsive suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, police said.
