One person is dead after a crash involving a horse and buggy in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, police said. According to the Pennsylvania State Police, on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, around 1:30 p.m., officers recieves a report of a two-vehicle crash involving a horse and buggy on the 4000 block of Strasburg Road in Salisbury Township, Lancaster County. Police said when first responders got to the scene, one person was pronounced dead. Lancaster Patrol Unit, Troop J Forensic Services Unit, and Troop J Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Specialists Unit are on scene investigating, according to police. Strasburg Road is currently closed and will remain closed for an extended period, police said.
