Who’s running Two candidates have filed to run for mayor of Oklahoma City: David Holt (incumbent) Matthew Pallares The mayor is elected at large and serves alongside eight city council members, each representing one of Oklahoma City’s eight wards. Together, they make up the Oklahoma City Council. The mayor and council members serve in a nonpartisan, council–manager form of government. The mayor’s annual salary is $24,000, and city council members earn $12,000 per year.
