Oklahoma City voters will head to the polls on Tuesday, Feb. 10, to choose the city’s next mayor. All registered Oklahoma City voters are eligible to participate. If you’re planning to vote, here are the key dates to keep in mind: Voter registrationThe deadline to register to vote is Frid ay, Jan. 16. You can download a voter registration application at ok.gov/elections. Absentee votingThe deadline to request an absentee ballot is 5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 26. Early votingEarly voting will be held from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 5, and Friday, Feb. 6. Election DayElection Day is Tuesday, Feb. 10. To find your polling location, check your voter ID card or visit the Oklahoma State Election Board website at ok.gov/elections. Who’s running Two candidates have filed to run for mayor of Oklahoma City: David Holt (incumbent) Matthew Pallares The mayor is elected at large and serves alongside eight city council members, each representing one of Oklahoma City’s eight wards. Together, they make up the Oklahoma City Council. The mayor and council members serve in a nonpartisan, council–manager form of government. The mayor’s annual salary is $24,000, and city council members earn $12,000 per year.
