Caught on Cam: Vandal sought after hate speech graffiti drawn at Roxborough High
Jan 07, 2026
Law enforcement officials are working to identify an individual who wrote racist and antisemitic graffiti at Roxborough High School over the past weekend.
And, on Wednesday morning, police shared surveillance footage of the individual that officials believe is responsible for the — badly drawn
and poorly spelled — hateful epithets that were found at the school, located along the 6000 block of Ridge Avenue, on Sunday, Jan. 4, 2026.
Police posted the footage to social media:
In the footage, a man can be seen wearing, what police described as a wearing an orange scarf/wrap, a green and black winter hat, gray hooded jacker, gray pants and a gray and black backpack, as he walks towards the school while carrying an orange firearm-shaped item — likely a water gun or something similar.
Police said that when he got to the school, this individual painted graffiti — found later to be crude swastikas and poorly spelled racial epithets, with one reading “I heat n******” — on the walls of the high school.
After vandalizing the property, police said the individual fled the scene headed towards Ridge Ave.
Police are asking anyone who may have information on this individual or this incident to contact the Philadelphia Police Department’s Northwest Detective Division at 215-686-3353/3354 or contact the department’s tip line at 215-686-TIPS (8477).
