IMPD: Woman critical after shooting in Martindale-Brightwood INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indianapolis police say a woman was inside her home on the city’s east side when someone fired shots from the street into the house, hitting her multiple times. Just after 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, Indianapolis M etropolitan Police Department officers responded to a shooting on East 34th Street near Keystone Avenue. That’s in the historic Martindale-Brightwood neighborhood. IMPD says the woman was transported to a hospital in critical condition. Police do not know what led to the shooting and do not have any information about a possible suspect.
