Concert will benefit beloved filmindustry insider

Marshall Moore, vice president of operations at the Utah Film Studios in Park City and co-director of the Zions Indie Film Fest, has been going the rounds with cancer for the past 22 years, and his friend Gary Robison is recruiting the community to give Moore an edge.
Robison, of Integrity Music
Management, organized a benefit concert featuring Fleetwood Visions, a professional Fleetwood Mac tribute band, scheduled for 7 p.m. on Friday at the Orem Library Hall, 58 N. State St. in Orem.
“I don’t know if you have heard or seen Fleetwood Visions, but they sound just like Fleetwood Mac,” Robison said. “I have made a lot of great connections while producing more than 150 concerts over the years, and Memphis Hennesy, who is in Fleetwood Visions and also in the Beatles tribute band, Imagine, is one of those connections. And when I reached out to him, he said he would love to be a part of the event.”
Rebecca Cressman from the FM 100 radio station will MC the evening, according to Robison.
“We’ll also have a special guest that I don’t want to announce because I want to surprise Marshall and his wife Michelle,” he said. “And while I don’t think Marshall is going to make the show because he’s in the hardest part of the treatment, Michelle will be there to give an update on Marshall.”
In addition to the live music, the evening will feature an opportunity drawing, Robison said.
“I have reached out to a lot of amazing people who have donated to the (drawing) that we’ll have on display,” he said.
Some of the big prizes include luggage donated by Mr. Mac and a Nike gift box from Brigham Young University’s athletic department, Robison said.

“The Mr. Mac luggage will be on display, but if people want a different color, we can give them a gift certificate, and they can visit the store directly,” he said. “And the Nike gift box will include signed memorabilia from some of the teams’ rising stars. I won’t know who they will be signed by until I pick up the box.”
Drawing prizes also include Covert-A-Bech tables, complimentary oil changes from Lube Doc, dinner for two at Texas Roadhouse in Orem, season passes to the SCERA Outdoor Theatre and a Minky Couture blanket, Robison said.

“Everyone who buys a concert ticket will automatically get a (drawing) ticket,” and the concert tickets are tax deductible,” he said. “But if someone wants to win something really badly, they can buy extra tickets.”The opportunity drawing will take place before the music starts, so ticket holders should arrive early, Robison said.
“After we’ve given away the oil changes and dinners, we’ll do the drawings for the big prizes,” he said. “Every dollar we raise through ticket sales will go to Marshall.”
Library Hall seats up to 500 people and will serve as a comfortable place to enjoy some live music and honor Moore, Robison said.
“If we sell out we can make a big difference,” he said. “Even if we can raise between $6,000 to $10,000 it would be great for them. Marshall’s had cancer for 20 years, and he’s reached his limit of what insurance will pay for a lifetime. So, we want to do whatever we can do to help so they aren’t left with this horrendous medical debt.”
Robison met Moore several years ago during a concert at Utah Film Studios during the Sundance Film Festival and is executive producer of two projects that will be screened in this year’s Zions Indie Film Festival.
“Michelle and Marshall are so in sync with what they are doing with that festival,” he said.
Last year’s festival was unbelievable, Robison said.
“It exploded and has become one of the top film festivals in the country because of Marshall’s reach,” he said. “He’s absolutely beloved in the industry, and we need him healthy so he can continue doing good things.”
