Firefighter injured responding to Camden house fire, officials say

A firefighter suffered, what officials called, minor injuries during a response to a fire at a home in Camden on Tuesday morning.
According to fire officials, a firefighter was injured while crews responded to extinguish a house fire at a property located along the 800 block of Spruce Street at
about 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
The firefighter was taken to a nearby hospital and officials said their injuries seemed minor. But, officials did not provide further details on the extent of the firefighter’s injuries.
As of about 5:18 a.m., the fire had been confirmed to be under control.
Also, crews at the scene told NBC10’s Katy Zachry that the house was unoccupied when the fire began.
Though, Charmaine Jones, who lives on the block told NBC10 that a man ran out of the house yelling for someone to call 9-1-1 shortly before the firefighters arrived.
Officials have not yet what may have ignited the flames.
Fire officials said an investigation into the cause of the incident is underway.
