INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Unseasonably warm temperatures continue this week, as rain and storms close in late week.
Today:
A warm front is pushing through the state, bringing another surge of mild air to the area. While temperatures will be a bit warmer than
Monday, sunshine will likely be tough to come by. Some areas of drizzle will be possible as well for much of the day.
Tonight:
Clouds will break up a bit overnight, allowing temperatures to dip into the mid-30s. Colder than this morning, but technically above our average high temperature!
Wednesday:
Temperatures will remain mild, with highs in the 40s to low 50s as clouds begin to break.
Late week rain and storms:
Thursday and Friday are expected to bring multiple rounds of rain showers, with southern Indiana likely to experience the heaviest rainfall.
Much colder this weekend:
A return to much colder temperatures move in this weekend. With some left over moisture, we could see a quick flip from rain to light snow showers on Saturday, and flurries on Sunday.
The temperature trend will remain above average through the middle of the month, but signs are pointing to another big cool down for the second half of the month.
