(BCN) -- Police are investigating after two teens suffered gunshot wounds during a robbery Sunday evening at a transit hub in downtown Santa Rosa.
About 6:30 p.m., police were called to a shooting reported at the Santa Rosa Transit Mall at 500 Second St.
Officers found a 15-year-old boy with "a t
hrough-and-through gunshot wound to the upper shoulder and mid-back area," police said in a news release. They gave him medical aid and he was taken by ambulance to a hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.
About 6:45 p.m., a 14-year-old boy was found with a grazing wound to his waist, which police believe resulted from the same bullet that struck the first victim. Both teens were treated and released from the hospital.

Investigators said the pair were among four boys waiting for a bus at the transit hub when they were accosted by two young adult men wearing dark clothing and ski masks.
"The men then demanded the boys hand over personal property while one of the suspects brandished a pistol," police said.
During the robbery, the 15-year-old victim was pistol-whipped on the side of his head and then shot once in the shoulder. The suspects ran from the scene in the direction of Julliard Park. Police searched the area and had help from the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office helicopter.
A police dog also helped in the search but the suspects weren't found. The transit mall was temporarily closed during the investigation.
