Timothy Hirt, 65, of New Woodstock, passed away peacefully on Jan. 1, 2026, at his home surrounded by the farm fields he loved. Tim was born April 7, 1960, to Thomas and Shirley (Nourse) Hirt in Syracuse. He was a true steward of the land, finding joy in farming, family and friends. Tim was a 1979 g raduate of Cazenovia Schools and spent his life working alongside his family at Mithva Farm. He is survived by his brother, Richard (Mary) Hirt; sister-in-law, Cindy (Larry Ferris) Hirt; nieces and nephews, Brian (Alana) Hirt, Lisa (Larry) Dean, Kyle (Lisa) Hirt, Andrew (Nichole) Hirt and Mallory (Kyle) Polisse and their families; aunts, MaryJane Sweetland and Virginia Collinson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death his brother, Frederick Hirt. Honoring Tim’s wishes, there are no calling hours or service at this time. Private graveside services will be held in the spring at the New Woodstock Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Tim’s memory may be made to Snow Valley Riders, P.O.
