Parts of the North Bay were facing storm surge and King Tides Sunday. Some areas were slowly drying out or trying to keep water away after days of rain and even some flooding, but in some low-lying areas neighbors were still dealing with the effects of flooding and watching and waiting. Just e ast of Highway 101, some streets were inundated with water on Sunday morning. The combination of days of rain and extremely high King Tides this weekend caused flooding in certain low-lying areas in Marin County. Around high tide, crews were out directing people away from impacted areas, including near lucky drive in larkspur. Sunday, Caltrans said highways were open in Marin County and maintenance crews were continuing to monitor the area after high water covered part of Highway 101 in Corte Madera on Saturday. In Sausalito near Gate 5 Road, people who have businesses said they’re over the flooding but trying to push through. “We’re all pretty tired right now, but so far we have managed to not flood so that’s good but it’s been a lot of pumping and generators and what not so, so far so good,” said Reason Bradley of Sausalito. And this weekend, the city worked to try and pump sea water out. A neighbor who lives at the docks says the tides and conditions are something he won’t soon forget. “I’ve been out for 12 years this is by far the highest I’ve seen.
