The Peltzer Ice Rink returned this winter for its eighth season, welcoming families from across Southern California to celebrate the holidays at Peltzer Winery through Jan. 19. The seasonal attraction has become a cherished tradition, offering a festive setting where visitors can gather, skate and e njoy the winter atmosphere in Temecula Valley Wine Country. This year’s rink spans 8,400 square feet and is located in a new area of the farm. The large white tent can be found near the farm parking lot at Entrance 3, behind the train depot and across from the gem-panning area. Complimentary skating gliders are available, along with picnic benches. Hot cocoa and snacks from local food trucks are available for purchase, as are Peltzer wines at a rink-side bar for those over age 21. Admission is $20 for those over age 11; $14 for ages 10 and under. Skate rentals are $2, and helmet rentals are $4. Skate sessions are rain or shine and are non-refundable, though tickets may be transferred up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time. All skaters under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign a release waiver, and guests are encouraged to arrive at least 30 minutes early for check-in. See peltzerwinery.com for details.
