Jan 2, 2026 morning forecast with Tara Hastings INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Quiet conditions as we start off the new year. We will see temperatures a little bit below normal throughout the weekend. Temperatures begin to warm as we head into the first full week of the new year. TODAY: A chilly sta rt today with temperatures into the twenties. We will look for highs today right around freezing. Skies will be partly cloudy at times We may see a little bit more cloud cover throughout part of the afternoon. Overall look for some sunshine with dry conditions throughout the entire day. TONIGHT: If you are heading to the Pacers game tonight we will look for a few clouds otherwise it will be dry making your way into Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Overnight Look for partly cloudy skies with low temperatures near 23. TOMORROW: Quiet this weekend Look for partly cloudy conditions with high temperatures near 34 on Saturday. Another quiet day on Sunday with a mix of sending clouds and highs right around 35. 7 DAY EXTENDED FORECAST:  Going into next week we will see temperatures beginning to warm. On Monday Sunny skies with temperatures near 48. Temperatures climb even farther for the middle and end of the week. Highs will be into the fifties on Tuesday with partly cloudy skies. Clouds begin to increase Wednesday as a system moves across parts of the state. We will look for rain chances to increase on Thursday. High temperatures are still well above normal for this time of the year. Highs will reach into the 50s and may even touch 60 degrees before the week is over.  If you were planning travels to Atlanta Georgia for the Peach Bowl to watch the Hoosiers the weather will be warmer.
