Discover how spending time in nature, creating art and helping people can be good for someone’s health during a free online author talk. Journalist Julia Hotz will discuss her new book, “The Connection Cure,” at 2 p.m. Jan. 20. Hotz has spent years traveling the world and learning how differen t forms of connection can help treat symptoms for some of the world’s most common ailments — depression, ADHD, addiction, anxiety, chronic pain, loneliness and more, according to a news release. These connections included joining groups, spending time surrounded by nature, creating and appreciating artwork, and serving other people.
