Rollover Crash on I280 in Daly City Kills One Passenger, Driver Arrested for DUI

A 65-year-old woman was killed in a single-car crash on Interstate 280 in Daly City Thursday morning, and the driver was arrested for DUI. ing in the far left lane on northbound Interstate 280 in Daly City, north of Hickey Boulevard, around 11:11 am Thursday when he lost control and hit the shoulder embankment. The SUV then flipped over, and the 65-year-old woman in the rear passenger seat who was ejected from the vehicle, died at the scene, according to the California Highway Patrol. As KTVU reports, a second passenger, a 19-year-old woman from Contra Costa County who was riding in the front passenger seat, suffered minor injuries. The driver was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and taken to the hospital. Once he's stabilized, he'll be given a breath alcohol test and booked into San Mateo jail, per KTVU.While KRON4 writes that the car landed on its wheels in the left lane, both KTVU and the Chronicle says the vehicle landed on its roof.
