The National Weather Service issued an updated special weather statement at 11:32 p.m. on Wednesday until Thursday at 5 a.m. for Northwest Suffolk, Northeast Suffolk, Southwest Suffolk and Southeast Suffolk."Snow will continue into the early morning hours. The snow will mainly be light, but could br iefly become moderate at times with snowfall rates briefly reaching one half inch per hour at times. Snowfall accumulations of 1-2 inches are expected with the highest amounts across the east end of Long Island and eastern New Haven and Middlesex counties.
