Moreno Valley crash leaves 1 driver dead and another arrested

A motorist died after a two-car collision on Monday in Moreno Valley and the second driver was arrested, authorities announced.
The crash happened at around 6:20 p.m. on Dec. 29 near the intersection of Alessandro Boulevard and Frederick Street. The drivers, who were the sole occupants of the two ve
hicles, were taken to a hospital with “major injuries” said a Riverside County Sheriff’s Office news release issued Wednesday.
Yoseph Asfaw, a 37-year-old Moreno Valley resident, later died at the hospital.
Investigators determined that the other driver, 42-year-old Misty Britan of Perris, was driving under the influence, according to the news release. Britan has been arrested and will be booked on suspicion of vehicular homicide, the sheriff’s office said.
