Home burglary arrest leads to dozens of credit card theft victims

(KRON) -- The Burlingame Police Department is thanking alert residents after officers arrested a suspected home burglar Monday and found stolen credit cards tied to dozens of victims.

Police responded to the report of an
attempted residential burglary in the 1500 block of Newlands Avenue and soon located a suspect nearby, confirming their alleged involvement through surveillance footage.
"During the investigation, officers recovered burglary tools, stolen mail, and credit cards belonging to approximately 30 victims," BPD said in a social media post Tuesday.
They were arrested and booked into the San Mateo County Jail where they face multiple felony-related charges.
Burlingame police confirmed they worked alongside other local law enforcement agencies on the case "due to recovered property tied to other jurisdictions."
