LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — One person has been displaced following a fire at an apartment complex Monday morning in Lexington. According to officials, crews were called to the 100 block of Lakeshore Drive around 7:45 a.m. after someone reported smelling smoke. Firefighters say they saw li ght smoke coming from a first-floor apartment. The call was then upgraded to a working fire. Lexington Fire Department officials say the fire was put out quickly and contained to one room. One person was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation but was not taken to the hospital. LFD says one person is currently without a home as a result of the fire. Officials remain on scene investigating what caused the fire.
