Power outage in San Francisco affects over 11,000 PGE customers

More than 11,000 PGE customers were left without power on Sunday night, according to the company’s website.
PGE Outage Center map reports 11,206 households were left in the dark. The outage was reported at 7:45 p.m. and power is expected to be restored at 1:15 a.m., according to PGE.

llows another PGE outage in San Francisco that left around 6,000 people in the dark Saturday morning, as well as a large power outage that impacted more than 125,000 customers at one point on Dec. 20.

Storm-related incident leaves thousands without power in San Francisco
The utility company also said there will be a planned power outage at about 11 p.m. Sunday to remove loud generators and put the Richmond neighborhood back on the grid. However, it is unclear if this power outage was connected to the planned outage.
NBC Bay Area reached out to PGE, and they sent a statement that reads, “The safety of our customers and communities is PGE’s top priority. At 7:45 pm today, an outage occurred affecting approximately 11,000 customers in San Francisco. PGE personnel are enroute to assess the situation and safely restore customers as quickly as possible. We’ll share additional information when it becomes available.”
