Update: Wind advisory affecting New York Monday and Tuesday — gusts could peak at 50 mph

An updated wind advisory was released by the National Weather Service on Sunday at 8:33 p.m. valid from Monday 10 a.m. until Tuesday 7 p.m. for Oneida, Yates, Seneca, Cayuga, Onondaga, Steuben, Schuyler, Chemung, Tompkins, Madison, Cortland, Chenango, Otsego, Tioga, Broome, Delaware and Sullivan cou nties.The weather service comments, "West winds 15 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected." ...read more read less
