As Denverites woke up to a blanket of fresh snow Sunday, those traveling in and out of Denver International Airport were also feeling the effects of the late-December storm. As of noon Sunday, over 350 flights at DIA had been delayed, with five canceled entirely, according to flightaware.com. Of the delays, over 130 were Southwest Airlines flights, making up nearly a quarter of the airline’s traffic in and out of the airport Sunday. United Airlines’ 100-plus delays ranked the second most of any airline. The airport received 2.2 inches of snow as of Sunday morning, according to the National Weather Service Boulder.
