H.S. Girls Basketball Wrap: PDS upsets Ewing at MCCC Holiday Classic

WEST WINDSOR — The Princeton Day School varsity girls’ basketball team handed a surprise to Ewing High Saturday in the Mercer County Community College Holiday Classic when it defeated the Colonial Valley Conference Colonial Division power, 56-48.
Sophia Rae Barber’s game-high 17 points with fi
ve 3-point field goals led the way as head coach Patrick Reddington’s Panthers surprised head coach Dan Montferrat’s Blue Devils.
Alana Williams and Juliana Hartman added 15 and 11 points, respectively, for PDS.
Ewing also saw three of its players reach double figures with Ariana Wadley scoring 16, Analis Maldonado putting up 12 points and London Bennett adding 10 points.
